Grooming a German Shepherd Puppy through the extended rainy season in Chabua

The aim here is dry, clean skin — appearance is secondary. Exercise and daily routine in Chabua

Is a German Shepherd Puppy a good fit for Chabua?

Two things decide this, and neither is the breed itself: what the housing looks like and what the weather does. Most homes in Chabua come with their own ground, so a large breed has room to move without anyone drawing up an exercise plan. And since near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, the daily routine ends up mattering more than the floor space. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Vet care and seasonal health in Chabua

Most avoidable trouble for a German Shepherd Puppy in Chabua traces back to the weather. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Which kind of pet suits Chabua

A dog needs daily outdoor time, which is easier to plan around Chabua's lush, wet tropical conditions if walks are kept to the cooler ends of the day. Cats suit households that are out for long stretches. Birds need stable temperatures and no draughts. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Health checks, vaccination and deworming are completed before the pet travels, records come with it, and a 7-day health guarantee applies from delivery. After that, routine vet visits and seasonal care keep problems small — relevant in Chabua, where near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention.

Preparing the home in Chabua

The first week

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything.
