Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Lotsu

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Lotsu, rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Living with a Pomeranian Puppy in Lotsu

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Pomeranian Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners in the North-East tend to find this dog a vivacious, bold, intelligent companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Is the Pomeranian Puppy right for Lotsu?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and a small-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Pomeranian Puppy adapts well to Lotsu on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Space and the outdoors with a Pomeranian Puppy

Homes around Lotsu usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A small-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Summer here peaks in June at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Pomeranian, but watch it closely because its double coat holds heat close to the body: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 9°C. A light sweater helps a small Pomeranian on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from May to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Pomeranian puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
