Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In hot, dry conditions water matters as much as food — the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Space and the outdoors with a Kanni Puppy

Homes around Rawatsar usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Grooming and coat care in Rawatsar

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, a Kanni Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the dry summer months. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Watch for signs of overheating — heavy panting, drooling or lethargy — during peak afternoons.

Living with a Kanni Puppy in Rawatsar

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Kanni Puppy. Owners throughout the northern belt tend to find this dog a loyal, shy, alert companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Rawatsar is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to August. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in July.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
