The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Grooming and coat care in Model Town

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the peak summer and winter swings. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Health and vet care in Model Town

Preventive care in Model Town is largely a matter of anticipating the peak summer and winter swings. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Living with a Doodle Puppy in Model Town

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a medium-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners across North India tend to find this dog a friendly, intelligent, playful companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In hot-summer / cool-winter conditions water matters as much as food — extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Model Town is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are February, March, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
