Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In subtropical plains conditions water matters as much as food — extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Space and the outdoors with a Pointer Puppy

Homes around Narela usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Exercise and routine through the peak summer and winter swings in Narela

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Narela, extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

Health and vet care in Narela

Preventive care in Narela is largely a matter of anticipating the peak summer and winter swings. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Narela is hottest in May, averaging 42°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Pointer needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C. A Pointer has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Pointer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, September, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
