Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In hot semi-desert conditions water matters as much as food — the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Grooming and coat care in Vejalpur

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, a Greyhound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the dry summer months. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Keep unlimited fresh water available and add a cooling mat or shaded resting spot.

Is the Greyhound Puppy right for Vejalpur?

Vejalpur is hot semi-desert — the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else — and the Greyhound Puppy is a large-sized, gentle, quiet, fast breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Keep unlimited fresh water available and add a cooling mat or shaded resting spot.

Vejalpur is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 12°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
