Living with a Doodle Puppy in Vythiri

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Doodle Puppy. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

Grooming and coat care in Vythiri

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the Doodle Puppy right for Vythiri?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, and a medium-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Doodle Puppy adapts well to Vythiri on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Vythiri

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Vythiri, the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Summer here peaks in March at about 33°C. That is manageable for a Doodle: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
