Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the peak summer and winter swings rather than during it. Shift walks to early morning and late evening through the peak summer weeks.

Living with a Greyhound Puppy in Narwar

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

Grooming and coat care in Narwar

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, a Greyhound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the peak summer and winter swings. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In subtropical plains conditions water matters as much as food — extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Narwar is hottest in May, averaging 44°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 8°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are September to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
