Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

Homes around Raipura usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Exercise and routine through the peak summer and winter swings in Raipura

The peak summer and winter swings is the stretch that needs planning. Extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Greyhound Puppy than intensity ever will. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In subtropical plains conditions water matters as much as food — extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Is the Greyhound Puppy right for Raipura?

The Greyhound Puppy does well in Raipura, with one caveat worth knowing up front: extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year. For a gentle, quiet, fast, large-sized breed that mostly changes when things happen rather than what happens. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Raipura is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 8°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are September to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
