Living with a Greyhound Puppy in Sihora

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Greyhound Puppy. Owners in the central region tend to find this dog a gentle, quiet, fast companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the wide seasonal range means both cooling in summer and warmth in winter matter, keep water available and watch intake through the peak summer and winter swings.

Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

Homes around Sihora usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Health and vet care in Sihora

Preventive care in Sihora is largely a matter of anticipating the peak summer and winter swings. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

Sihora is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 9°C.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
