Is the Doodle Puppy right for Puttasing?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and a medium-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Doodle Puppy adapts well to Puttasing on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Living with a Doodle Puppy in Puttasing

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Doodle Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners across the eastern region tend to find this dog a friendly, intelligent, playful companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Grooming and coat care in Puttasing

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Puttasing is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
