Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because summers are long and intense, so heat management is the single biggest priority, keep water available and watch intake through the dry summer months.

Living with a Greyhound Puppy in Sirohi

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Greyhound Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners across North India tend to find this dog a gentle, quiet, fast companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in Sirohi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With summers are long and intense, so heat management is the single biggest priority, a Greyhound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the dry summer months. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Watch for signs of overheating — heavy panting, drooling or lethargy — during peak afternoons.

Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

Homes around Sirohi usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Sirohi is hottest in May, averaging 42°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are September to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
