Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Coimbatore

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Coimbatore, the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Grooming and coat care in Coimbatore

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Apartment living with a Doodle Puppy

Flats are the norm in Coimbatore, so indoor enrichment carries real weight — puzzle feeders, chew toys, and a resting spot away from through-traffic. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

The rainy season runs from June, July and October, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
