Exercise and routine through the brief pre-monsoon heat in Kannaigudem

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

Homes around Kannaigudem usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward, keep water available and watch intake through the brief pre-monsoon heat.

Health and vet care in Kannaigudem

Preventive care in Kannaigudem is largely a matter of anticipating the brief pre-monsoon heat. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Kannaigudem is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Greyhound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
