Exercise and routine through the brief pre-monsoon heat in Khazipet

The brief pre-monsoon heat is the stretch that needs planning. The plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Doodle Puppy than intensity ever will. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In pleasant semi-tropical conditions water matters as much as food — the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Living with a Doodle Puppy in Khazipet

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Doodle Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners throughout peninsular India tend to find this dog a friendly, intelligent, playful companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Health and vet care in Khazipet

Preventive care in Khazipet is largely a matter of anticipating the brief pre-monsoon heat. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Summer here peaks in May at about 34°C. That is manageable for a Doodle: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 20°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and September is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to May: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
