Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.

Is the Greyhound Puppy right for Dunda?

Dunda is cold mountain — winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority — and the Greyhound Puppy is a large-sized, gentle, quiet, fast breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Check paws for cracking and ice between toes during the coldest months.

Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

Homes around Dunda usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Grooming and coat care in Dunda

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, a Greyhound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Check paws for cracking and ice between toes during the coldest months.

Exercise and routine through the cold winter season in Dunda

The cold winter season is the stretch that needs planning. Winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Greyhound Puppy than intensity ever will. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Summer here peaks in May at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Greyhound, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winter nights drop to about 3°C in January. A Greyhound copes well with cold, but a puppy still needs a warm, draught-free bed for its first winter.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, April, May, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
