Health and vet care in Dwarahat

Preventive care in Dwarahat is largely a matter of anticipating the cold winter season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Exercise and routine through the cold winter season in Dwarahat

Crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Greyhound Puppy than intensity ever will. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Space and the outdoors with a Greyhound Puppy

The city sits at about 1,494 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 30°C in May, so heat is rarely the problem for a Greyhound that it is on the plains.

Winter nights drop to about 3°C in January. A Greyhound copes well with cold, but a puppy still needs a warm, draught-free bed for its first winter.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Greyhound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, April, May, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
