Exercise and routine through the cold winter season in Someshwar

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Someshwar, crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Living with a Doodle Puppy in Someshwar

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Doodle Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.

Space and the outdoors with a Doodle Puppy

Space is rarely the constraint here; the routine is what needs attention. For a friendly, intelligent, playful dog the fit is usually good either way.

The city sits at about 1,391 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 31°C in May, so heat is rarely the problem for a Doodle that it is on the plains.

Winter nights drop to about 3°C in January. A Doodle copes well with cold, but a puppy still needs a warm, draught-free bed for its first winter.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, April, May, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
