Health and vet care in Pauri

Preventive care in Pauri is largely a matter of anticipating the cold winter season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. Feeding a small bird here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a small frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.

Is the Red Collared Lorikeet right for Pauri?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, and a small-sized bird feels that more than an owner expects. The Red Collared Lorikeet adapts well to Pauri on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Grooming and coat care in Pauri

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Pauri being cool hill, winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.
