Rishikesh is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from May to June. A Blue Sided needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.

For a new Blue Sided bird, the easiest months to arrive are March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
