Summer here peaks in August at about 33°C. That is manageable for a Ragdoll, but watch it closely because its double coat holds heat close to the body: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 12°C.

The rainy season runs from April to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Ragdoll kitten, the easiest months to arrive are November to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
