Puttasing is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Scottish Fold needs real protection from that: a cool room with the curtains drawn in the afternoon, a tiled floor to lie on, and fresh water in more than one place.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Scottish Fold kitten, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
