Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Bukkapatnam

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Bukkapatnam, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Is the Kanni Puppy right for Bukkapatnam?

Bukkapatnam is coastal tropical — moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips — and the Kanni Puppy is a large-sized, loyal, shy, alert breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Health and vet care in Bukkapatnam

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the long monsoon rather than during it. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Living with a Kanni Puppy in Bukkapatnam

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the southern region tend to find this dog a loyal, shy, alert companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Bukkapatnam is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.

There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
