The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the Kanni Puppy right for Vijayawada East?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Kanni Puppy adapts well to Vijayawada East on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Grooming and coat care in Vijayawada East

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Vijayawada East being coastal tropical, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Vijayawada East

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Vijayawada East, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Space and the outdoors with a Kanni Puppy

Space is rarely the constraint here; the routine is what needs attention. For a loyal, shy, alert dog the fit is usually good either way.

Vijayawada East is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with December nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from July to October, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
