Grooming and coat care in Morbi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines, a Kanni Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the dry summer months. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. A light summer trim (for double-coated breeds, never shave to the skin) helps comfort.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines, keep water available and watch intake through the dry summer months.

Health and vet care in Morbi

Preventive care in Morbi is largely a matter of anticipating the dry summer months. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Watch for signs of overheating — heavy panting, drooling or lethargy — during peak afternoons.

Is the Kanni Puppy right for Morbi?

Morbi is hot semi-desert — daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines — and the Kanni Puppy is a large-sized, loyal, shy, alert breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. A light summer trim (for double-coated breeds, never shave to the skin) helps comfort.

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. Morbi is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 11°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are February, September, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
