Is the Doodle Puppy right for Sohna?

Sohna is warm and arid — daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines — and the Doodle Puppy is a medium-sized, friendly, intelligent, playful breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Walk early in the morning or after sunset when the ground is cool, never on hot pavement.

Exercise and routine through the dry summer months in Sohna

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Sohna, daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Watch for signs of overheating — heavy panting, drooling or lethargy — during peak afternoons.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Living with a Doodle Puppy in Sohna

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Doodle Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In warm and arid conditions water matters as much as food — daytime temperatures climb high for much of the year, which shapes daily routines, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Sohna is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are September to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
