Health and vet care in Gagret

Preventive care in Gagret is largely a matter of anticipating the cold winter season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Check paws for cracking and ice between toes during the coldest months.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the Kanni Puppy right for Gagret?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Kanni Puppy adapts well to Gagret on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Space and the outdoors with a Kanni Puppy

Homes around Gagret usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Gagret is hottest in June, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from May to June. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 7°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March, April, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
