Space and the outdoors with a Doodle Puppy

Homes around Dakshina Kannada usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Grooming and coat care in Dakshina Kannada

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the brief pre-monsoon heat. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep vaccinations, deworming and annual vet checks on schedule year-round.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds, keep water available and watch intake through the brief pre-monsoon heat.

Given the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the brief pre-monsoon heat rather than during it. Maintain a regular grooming routine suited to the breed's coat.

Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from May to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
