Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Grooming and coat care in Mangaluru

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the brief pre-monsoon heat. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep vaccinations, deworming and annual vet checks on schedule year-round.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In pleasant semi-tropical conditions water matters as much as food — the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Summer here peaks in March at about 34°C. That is manageable for a Doodle: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 22°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from May to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
