Summer here peaks in March at about 33°C. That is manageable for a Pointer, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 23°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from May to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Pointer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
