Grooming and coat care in Itarsi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, a Kanni Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the peak summer and winter swings. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Shift walks to early morning and late evening through the peak summer weeks.

Exercise and routine through the peak summer and winter swings in Itarsi

The peak summer and winter swings is the stretch that needs planning. The climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Kanni Puppy than intensity ever will. Shift walks to early morning and late evening through the peak summer weeks.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In hot-summer / cool-winter conditions water matters as much as food — the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Itarsi is hottest in May, averaging 44°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 11°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are February, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
