Is the Kanni Puppy right for Khilchipur?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Kanni Puppy adapts well to Khilchipur on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In continental plains conditions water matters as much as food — the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Health and vet care in Khilchipur

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the peak summer and winter swings rather than during it. Keep deworming and vaccination on schedule — seasonal changes can stress the immune system.

Grooming and coat care in Khilchipur

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Khilchipur being continental plains, the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Provide shade and constant water in summer; a warm bed and blanket in winter.

Khilchipur is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Kanni needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 9°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are February, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
