Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Space and the outdoors with a Doodle Puppy

Homes around Kolhapur usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Is the Doodle Puppy right for Kolhapur?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and a medium-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Doodle Puppy adapts well to Kolhapur on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Grooming and coat care in Kolhapur

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Kolhapur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
