Is the Kanni Puppy right for Borobekra?

Borobekra is monsoon-heavy — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention — and the Kanni Puppy is a large-sized, loyal, shy, alert breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Grooming and coat care in Borobekra

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, a Kanni Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Borobekra

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Kanni Puppy than intensity ever will. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Summer here peaks in April at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Kanni, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 9°C. A Kanni has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from April to September, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
