Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In monsoon-heavy conditions water matters as much as food — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Space and the outdoors with a Pointer Puppy

Homes around Nungba usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Is the Pointer Puppy right for Nungba?

Nungba is monsoon-heavy — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention — and the Pointer Puppy is a large-sized, loyal, loving, confident breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Living with a Pointer Puppy in Nungba

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the region's hills tend to find this dog a loyal, loving, confident companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Health and vet care in Nungba

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the extended rainy season rather than during it. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 30°C in April, so heat is rarely the problem for a Pointer that it is on the plains.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 7°C. A Pointer has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from April to September, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Pointer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are March and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
