Living with a Doodle Puppy in Basar

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Doodle Puppy. Owners across South India tend to find this dog a friendly, intelligent, playful companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, keep water available and watch intake through the brief pre-monsoon heat.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Grooming and coat care in Basar

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the brief pre-monsoon heat. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Provide shade and water during the short hot spell before the monsoon.

Health and vet care in Basar

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the brief pre-monsoon heat rather than during it. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

Basar is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from July to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
