Grooming and coat care in Tekmal

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, a Doodle Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the brief pre-monsoon heat. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Provide shade and water during the short hot spell before the monsoon.

Space and the outdoors with a Doodle Puppy

Homes around Tekmal usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Exercise and routine through the brief pre-monsoon heat in Tekmal

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Tekmal, the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In mild tropical plateau conditions water matters as much as food — the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Tekmal is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Doodle needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Doodle puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
