Feeding a small bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a small build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In monsoon-heavy conditions water matters as much as food — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Is the Hahn's Macaw right for Doom Dooma?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, and a small-sized bird feels that more than an owner expects. The Hahn's Macaw adapts well to Doom Dooma on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Grooming and coat care in Doom Dooma

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, a Hahn's Macaw's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Doom Dooma

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Doom Dooma, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.
