Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Sivasagar

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Nanday Conure than intensity ever will. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Space and the outdoors with a Nanday Conure

Homes around Sivasagar usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A small-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Grooming and coat care in Sivasagar

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Sivasagar being high-rainfall tropical, rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.
