Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Udalguri

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Yellow Naped Amazon than intensity ever will. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Space and the outdoors with a Yellow Naped Amazon

Homes around Udalguri usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Living with a Yellow Naped Amazon in Udalguri

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a medium-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the North-East tend to find this bird a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Feeding a medium bird here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.
