Grooming and coat care in Siddapur

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward, a Dusky Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the brief pre-monsoon heat. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Take advantage of the mild weather with consistent daily walks and play.

Feeding a small bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a small build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In pleasant semi-tropical conditions water matters as much as food — comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.
