Is the Dusky Lorikeet right for Iritty?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, and a small-sized bird feels that more than an owner expects. The Dusky Lorikeet adapts well to Iritty on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Space and the outdoors with a Dusky Lorikeet

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Grooming and coat care in Iritty

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, a Dusky Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.
