Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, a Yellow Naped Amazon's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Feeding a medium bird here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.
