Health and vet care in Jodamba

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the long monsoon rather than during it. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Grooming and coat care in Jodamba

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Jodamba being humid coastal, the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Jodamba

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. The sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Blue Fronted Amazon than intensity ever will. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Feeding a medium bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In humid coastal conditions water matters as much as food — the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.
