Grooming and coat care in Junagarh

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a Chattering Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Health and vet care in Junagarh

Preventive care in Junagarh is largely a matter of anticipating the long monsoon. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the bird; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Junagarh

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. The air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Chattering Lorikeet than intensity ever will. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Feeding a small bird here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a small frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Junagarh is hottest in May, averaging 42°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Chattering Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.

For a new Chattering Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
