Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Khunta

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. The air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Yellow Naped Amazon than intensity ever will. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Grooming and coat care in Khunta

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Khunta being coastal tropical, the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Khunta is coastal tropical — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention — and the Yellow Naped Amazon is a medium-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach.
