Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Puttasing

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Puttasing, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Health and vet care in Puttasing

Preventive care in Puttasing is largely a matter of anticipating the long monsoon. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the bird; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Living with a Blue & Gold Macaw in Puttasing

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the east tend to find this bird a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in Puttasing

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, a Blue & Gold Macaw's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Puttasing is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Blue & Gold Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.

For a new Blue & Gold Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
