Duni is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Dusky Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.

For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are March, September, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
