Space and the outdoors with a Mudhol Hound Puppy

Homes around Nagarbera usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.

Living with a Mudhol Hound Puppy in Nagarbera

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Mudhol Hound Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners across the North-Eastern states tend to find this dog a alert, loyal, athletic companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Nagarbera

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Nagarbera, rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Summer here peaks in June at about 34°C. That is manageable for a Mudhol Hound, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 11°C.

The rainy season runs from April to September, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Mudhol Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
