Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Udumbanchola

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Udumbanchola, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Is the Kanni Puppy right for Udumbanchola?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Kanni Puppy adapts well to Udumbanchola on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Grooming and coat care in Udumbanchola

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, a Kanni Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Space and the outdoors with a Kanni Puppy

Homes around Udumbanchola usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Summer here peaks in March at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Kanni, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Kanni puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
